It is a composite product comprised of two layers: a thin sheet of heavyweight EPDM lined on one side with a thicker layer of felt with a density of 60 Kg/m3 made from textile fibers bound with synthetic resins
The different densities of the sheet and felt allow for optimum sound damping
The so-called “spring effect” is achieved, deadening noise
The components are treated and have a fire resistance of M1
Placing 2 MIX on the noise emitting side of a brick wall with a width of 5 cm yields a sound damping value of 36.8 dB
2 MIX is ideal for insulating exterior walls and the interior of plasterboard drywall structures. When used here, it absorbs the drum effect of the spaces inside walls
